Feeding SD Mobile Food Pantry
Mobile Food Pantries travel across South Dakota distributing free food to individuals and families in need. Typically, each family receives 50-70 pounds of fresh and frozen produce, dairy, meat, breads and other non-perishable food items. The type of food distributed varies depending on what is available at the current time.

No sign-up is needed. Simply drive up and workers will load the boxes of food.

Feeding SD Senior Box Program
The Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP), most commonly known as "The Senior Box Program", is a USDA program administered through Feeding South Dakota that distributes free food to limited income senior citizens. Eligibility requirements include being at least 60 years old and living on a limited income. The boxes average 25-27 pounds of food and contain a minimum: 2 lb. block of cheese, juice, shelf-stable or powdered milk, cereal, canned fruits, canned vegetables, pasta or rice, a canned meat or entrée such as beef stew or chili.

Those interested in learning more, or would like to sign up to receive a monthly box of food should contact Ken Wulff at (605) 293-3277 the first week of the month. Personal information is not required; simply need a head count prior to distribution.

Gann Valley's 140th Anniversary Celebration
Gann Valley is proud to celebrate it's 140th birthday with a Celebration on Saturday, June 21st, 2025. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the fun! Whether you plan to participate in one of the many family-friendly events or come to renew old friendships, it promises to be a memorable occasion!

SATURDAY, JUNE 21st

9:00am: Parade Line-up Begins - Staging Area by the Legion Hall, Gann Valley
There is no charge to enter the parade, all entries welcome! To submit a parade entry, contact Kristian Wulff (605)251-4852 or Sam Wulff at (605)281-0596.

4-H Selling Coffee and Rolls in the Morning

10:00am: Parade Begins - Legion Hall, Gann Valley
Parking during parade will be on north end of main, will have shuttle bus available.

11:00am: Concessions Open
There will be 3 different options.

12:00pm - 3:30pm: Car Show and Shine

1:00pm: Games and Activities Begin - Locations to be Determined
Kids pedal tractor pull, bouncy house, chicken sh*t bingo to name a few

1:00pm: Benefit Cornhole Tournament for Lydell Krog

1:00pm - 3:00pm: Courthouse will be Open for Tours Led by Ellen Speck and Jerri Lutter.

Community Center will be open for Viewing High School Class Pictures

Starting at 1:15pm: Bingo in the Fire Hall

3:30pm - 5:00pm: GVHS Class of 1964 Reunion
The Class of '64 will meet between 3:30 to 5pm under the car port behind Frasier's Store. There will be a meet and greet, along with refreshments, pictures, and a HS story from each. We will join forces with all other classes at the community supper. Also, the Class of '64 will have a pickup & trailer to ride on during the 10am parade. Hope most of the class can be on board! 5:00pm - 7:00pm: Community Supper in the Fire Hall - Free Will Donation

8:30pm: Street Dance in Front of the Fire Hall - Music by the South Hand Band.
$5 Admission, 10 & Under Free | No beer or coolers allowed, Bring your own bottle, the American Legion will be selling beer and setups.

SUNDAY, JUNE 22nd

10:30am: Sunday Church Service· Gann Valley Congregational Church
Terry Krebs will officiate the service. Light lunch will follow at the Gann Valley Fire Hall.
