The Jerauld County Extension Office serves the communities and citizens of the following
counties: Aurora, Buffalo, Jerauld and Sanborn. They provide education and information on a
variety of subjects.
In-office personnel have specialties in livestock and 4-H. In addition, Jerauld County Extension
can access the resources of the South 5 Field Education Unit educators who specialize in the
following areas: family and consumer sciences, agronomy, and 4-H/youth development.
Jerauld County also has access to additional resources of the South Dakota Cooperative
Extension Service, which can help provide expertise in the areas of marketing and farm
business management, horticulture, community innovation, and leadership.

The Brule County Extension Office serves as the front door to South Dakota State University.
Through the office, residents can access resources and programs that can assist them over a
wide range of topics. The Extension staff works hard to meet the needs of citizens and provides
education and information on a variety of subjects. The Brule County Extension Office is located
on the second floor of the Brule County Courthouse. The Extension Office professionals provide
answers to clientele questions, as well as resources to assist area residents. In addition, they
deliver ongoing educational programming in family and consumer sciences and 4-H/youth
development. The Extension staff also access resources of the South Dakota Cooperative
Extension Service for expertise in the following areas: livestock, agronomy, horticulture,
community innovation and leadership, and marketing and farm business management.
